Crista and I have worked through these 2 "things" - new technologies. I have to admit I probably won't do too much with them as I am not a big bookmarker except at work. I also do not search the web too much, but for me learning what the new technology does and what it looks like is a big help.
I have to say I am amazed at the folks who thought up these sites and how well others do understand them. Techno-heads are good people to know.

RSS Feeds
Well, it has taken me several tries to get some RSS feeds into my Outlook, and I have a few more I will be adding. Wonder how overwhelmed I will feel when the load gets too big. I know delete is a great option.
I think as time goes by, I will add a few more useful ones, but to begin, I just picked some activities I like. I think I may look to see if recipe web pages have RSS icons. I don't like to cook much, but do enjoy reading recipes.
At times, while learning new skills, I begin to be overwhelmed at how much there is out there to learn and to use. Guess one has to pick and chose what is best for yourself.

Well, I have just finished the RSS feeds and library related blogs session. It is interesting, but I wonder what I will find with my feeds, and it was quite amazing how many libraries do have blogs - of course, I checked out UR's. I haven't had time to read other folk's blogs to see how they are doing, but I imagine much better. I am behind schedule for the summer, but plan to continue. Even if I don't use a lot of this, at least, I will know what people are talking about.

more about Flickr
I have looked at most of the suggested web pages, and to be honest, just am amazed at what is being done on the Web!! Nothing favorite yet, just fascinated with it all. Maybe some day I will do more than just the blog, but not yet.

Cool, just talked with Carol and she gave me a better understanding of Flickr and mashups. Now it is time to do the assignment for that week - yes, I am behind. Keep your fingers crossed.
